Hi there, I'm Laurel. I am named after the great folks in the community who helped me one morning in August. I wandered up to one of the doors of their business so they called CARE. I am a very friendly little girl that purrs all the time and makes biscuits. I was tested and am negative so now I'm living with three other girls that I hear will teach me some nice kitty manners. They call me a little munchkin but I'm very smart, curious and hear I'm pretty cute too. I'll be available for adoption when I am a bit older, around the second week in October.

I am a looker and a charmer (if I do say so myself) with gorgeous swirls and snazzy white socks. I absolutely love to play n leap around with my sib sisters, Kalani, Koro and Miku and sometimes I'll just stop, meow for attention - a chin scratch and hug here n there, then I'm on my way again. I do so love to snuggle when I am sleepy and my foster fam thinks I will be a total lap boy once I get my kitten wiggles out of course! I love my mommy Sandy so much - we are very alike - I get my good looks from her obviously! I will need to have a friend to play with as I'm pretty active - do you have another young cat or kitty-loving pup already?? If not, how about adopting one of my supermodel sibs or my gorgeous mama too? So entertaining for you and soooo fun for me! See you in a miaow!

Must be indoor cats only and no plans to declaw.

I'm a sweet, playful girl who is not afraid of anything! I love to wrestle, climb and pounce with my siblings Koro, Kalani and Breeze and I REALLY love sliding on long pieces of brown paper when the chewy box arrives! When naptime comes around you can find me laying on you or on the back of the sofa behind your head - it's impossible not to pet me - you should feel my gorgeous fur and see my fuzzy tummy with all the beautiful colors!! I am really pretty people tell me and also quite unusual. I'm close to my family and definitely need a companion whether it be a sibling or my lovely mama who never seems to tire of us kids I am a little shy when I first meet new folk but I soon warm up - I think I would prefer older children to play and snuggle with in my furrever home.

Hi I'm Remy! I'm a sweet playful boy who loves wand toys! I love it when the toy is dragged along the ground! I have a near silent meow unlike my brother's loud meow. Besides running around playing and wrestling with my brother, I also instantly purr at everyone! I even do well with children who treat me gently and play with me.

I love my brother Remy and will need to either be adopted with him or another playful cat. I need a kitty companion to play with and learn manners from.

I'm a very cute, playful and sweet boy! Sometimes I get so happy and when I don't want you to stop petting me I start chirping at you! Works every time! My newest thing is to knead your stomach. Also, my tail is so cool. It wiggles around and then I pounce and chase it! I'm also not sure if I'm supposed to eat or groom it so I'll do both. My other favorite game is to play leap over the doggie, or the newest variation is which to sit on the doggie's head and groom her. I love to tunnel into blankets and sleep underneath them with someone's arms around me! Sometimes I poke my nose out so I can give kisses. I like to give the dog kisses too.

Sport is a giant sweet heart who is a great nap & lap companion and will entertain you for hours with his antics. He loves other cats and needs another active cat that can keep up with his energy. He may even do well with a friendly dog for company! Sport will also need an indoor only home.

Mike and his brother Steve started off life in the shelter with their siblings. They were the last ones to be adopted from their foster home despite their calming disposition. They were eventually adopted and lived in their new home for a year before being returned to CARE -at no fault of their own -and are back in foster care. Mike and Steve are looking for a home together. If you are looking for two bonded cats that seek affection and you can provide them a home where they can nap, eat, bird watch, climb cat towers, scratch cat posts, play and where they get the attention and affection they deserve, this pair may be the right ones for you. Both are very handsome and will help bring peace and calm to your life.

They have lived in homes with kids, dogs, and other cats. Homes with children over 6 may apply. They are microchipped, neutered and up to date on vaccines. No declawing

Mango is a girl of action! She loves to play and typically only comes in for love and affection after her job of "getting things sorted" has been completed. She is the first to investigate to ensure all is as it should be, and if you have a new toy- she is "all-in" to ensure it is in working order. Mango would love to have another spunky and playful companion in the home, and she has had some introductions to dogs too.

Greetings friends, my name is Buttercup! I'm a sweet, smart, independent gal. I had a rough start in life, but I'm now ready for a home of my own where I'll never have to worry about keeping myself fed or having kittens ever again. I love spending my days napping in front of the window, eating tasty meals, and playing with the other foster cats. I will purr and rub against your legs, and sit by you on the couch when you watch TV, and entertain you with my cute little meow when it's dinner time. I'm just a tiny thing, only about 5 pounds. I have a beautiful yellow/brown dilute tabby coat that is such an unusual color, and my foster mom says my green eyes are mesmerizing.

No one knows what Buttercup's background is, but it is obvious that some of her interactions with humans and dogs may not have been positive ones. This makes her a little worried about being picked up, especially by strangers, but she is in no way aggressive, just a little unsure. She is somewhat fearful of dogs, but does fine with the 3 dogs in her foster as home as long as they give her space (the dogs learned this lesson pretty quickly!). She is such a sweet and loving girl, and we hope with time that she will forget all about her difficult time before coming to CARE. She is dreaming of a safe and loving home where she can continue to blossom into the wonderful girl we know she can be. She's still a young girl, loves to play, and will make someone a great and low key companion.

Adoption pending!

Hello there! Although no one at CARE knows what happened to me and how I ended up in the shelter with a bunch of beautiful babies, they do know that I didn't get the best start in life and things are on the up now for me! My foster family says I'm super sweet and affectionate - I'm not a fan of being held but I really love to sit right beside them and get a chin scratch and strokes for as long as they will do it! They also tell me that I'm a really good mama who never seems to tire of my babies even though I'm now spayed and they were weaned weeks ago! I even took on 2 extra mouths alongside Koro, Kalani, Miku and Breeze! The shelter asked me to feed Remy and Indy too who were a week old and didn't have a mama! Boy those 6 were some hungry, squirmy babies! I was so dedicated though that when I wanted a drink or food, my foster mom would bring it to my box (I LOVE BOXES!!) so I didn't have to move and disturb my babies! It would be so wonderful if one of my babies could be adopted with me as I love them so much!

My foster family thinks (and I agree) that because I never had my own indoor place and people, I would do better in a quiet environment as I do get panicked in new situations. This way I can get used to things gradually and start to relax there. Ideally I would love to find a home with no dogs or young children and a family that will have patience and understand I need a little time to get acclimated. Once I do though boy do I love my folks!!

Hello there! I'm Twinkle, formerly known as shelter kitty Twinkie. After dealing with a really bad flea allergy, I ended up with a virus that fortunately landed me into the CARE foster program. Now my days are spent reclining in a lovely bed on a big human bed watching TV. Plus, I have an awesome view. I'm back to a healthy weight and on a special diet because they think I may have developed some food allergies. Probably only temporary and no big deal since you can buy the food at the local pet store. All I want to do is love and be loved. It's hard to get my picture because I am always in the camera's face! I purr alot and am told I have some of the prettiest teeth ever. I'm fine with other kitties and with my strong self esteem, I'm sure I'd be fine with dogs too.

My name is Vee, and I have such silky, shiny fur that you won't be able to resist petting me. Some people might describe me as shy, but I like to think of myself as discerning. I am also very sweet and very quiet. Unless making noise playing with my siblings, you might not even realize I'm nearby until you find me using your foot to rub my chin.

I love to be petted and combed, and being a youngster, I love to play. I'm learning to fetch, and my foster parents will tell you all about my favorite toys. In addition to my overall adorableness, I make cute little chirping noises that are certain to make you smile.

Be sure to look at my other photos, but know that they do not do me justice. In person, I am much shinier and much cuter, if I do say so myself. My foster parents say so too, by the way, and they are not at all biased.

As to my background, my siblings and I were born among a colony of cats living outdoors that is being looked after by a couple of very nice humans. While trying to get members of the colony spayed or neutered, the humans scooped us up and helped us become indoor-only kitties. The humans are now our foster parents, and although they love us and will be sad to see us go, they will be thrilled to see us settled in loving, forever homes.

There are kittens, grown-up kitties, and a very mellow little dog in my foster home, and I am comfortable with all of them. I'm accustomed to having kittens and two humans as my companions, and I'd be very lonely if I didn't have someone to pet me and play with me throughout the day.

I am spayed, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccines, including rabies.

If you are looking for a precious gem to add to your home, then you have found the right gal.

I'm Jasper and my favorite things are snuggling in bed with my foster parents (day and night), playing with my siblings, sitting in the window and watching the birds, and lazing around in bed. If my brothers are getting attention, I will push them out of the way so I can get more pets. I prefer not to be held but would love to hang out with you in bed or on the couch (being petted of course).

I am shy and prefer a mellow household. My mom was a feral cat living in Pittsboro by the BoJangles and that is where the folks at CARE found me. Me and my brothers have lived with our foster family which includes dogs, other cats, and even a turtle.

As I'm working on building my confidence a home with experienced cat people and no children under 10 would be my perfect furever home. I would love to be adopted with one of my brothers and start the new year in our furever home.

If you are looking for a noble gemstone then you've come to the right furbaby. My name is Onyx and I was named for the gemstone because of my satiny black coat.

Hanging out on the back of the couch in the evenings watching TV is one of my favorite past times next to getting attention. When I get really relaxed, my little pink tongue sticks out, quite a contrast to my black coat. Sitting in the window or playing with the other cats in the house is how I spend most of my time.

I am outgoing but prefer a mellow household. My mom was a feral cat living in Pittsboro by the BoJangles and that is where the folks at CARE found me. Me and my brother and sister have lived with our foster family which includes dogs, other cats, and even a turtle.

My name is Jet and I'm a diamond in the rough. I'm the shyest of my siblings and like Jasper, I am a great bed buddy and love attention in the mornings and at night. I love to play with the other cats in the house and Maggie, the big dog, is my favorite to rub up against. My newest trick is to rub my face on my foster mom and sister and I've even kissed them.

I am shy and prefer a mellow household. My mom was a feral cat living in Pittsboro by the BoJangles and that is where the folks at CARE found me. While living at BoJangles, I broke my leg so I have a little limp and sit with my leg straight out. The Vet lady said my leg didn't heal right but that doesn't stop me from running, jumping, or climbing my cat tree. Me and my brother and sister have lived with our foster family which includes dogs, other cats, and even a turtle.

This sweet boy and his littermates, Elise and George, were born under a house to a feral mom. CARE was able to trap them and they and mom are all doing just fine. Mom has a new home with her other daughter, June, and the kittens will be going to new forever homes very soon.

They are soft and cuddly and just need lots of love and affection to be the purrfect pets.

They will be dewormed soon, get their first kitten vaccine and then they will just need two more vaccines, rabies vaccine at 12 weeks and their spay/neuter surgeries and microchips.

Would you consider two of us, maybe all three??

Hi, I'm Elsie. My littermates, George and Moses, and I were born under a house in Pittsboro. Our mom did the best she could but we were hungry and we needed more. A nice lady from CARE took us away from all that and now we have all we can eat! Our mom is living with our older sister, June, and we will be going to new homes soon, too.

We will get our first shot soon and get rid of any internal parasites----then we will just need two more shots, rabies vaccines when we are 12 weeks old and then our spay/neuter surgery and microchip.

Our mom is living with our older sister now, June, and we are living high on the hog with a nice lady who feeds us yummies every day!

We just want lots of love and affection and will be the purrfect pets.

We will have our first shot soon, then 2 more and a rabies vaccine when we are 12 weeks old. Then something called "spay/neuter" and we will be fully vetted, happy and healthy. I think we also get a microchip.

Hey, I'm Sunny. My sister, Lacey, and I are two of 6 kittens born to a beautiful Tortoisehell mom but forced to live under a car in an impound lot. Mom was killed by a car and it's not a safe place for any of us. CARE found us and made sure we were spayed and got all our shots and were microchipped.

I'm living now with Lacey and a nice lady who feeds us. I'm still a little shy but in time with patience I will be fine.

We may need to be in a small space for starters so we are not overwhelmed but we will end up being your best friends. We would prefer a quiet home with no children. We have good manners and always use our litterbox. We'd like to be adopted together but can also be adopted separately.

If you can help us find our dream home, contact Debbie at 919-548-0988 or email mattishane@gmail.com or submit an application by clicking on the "Adoption Application" link above. We need an indoor home and no declawing.

My brother, Sunny, is also living with this lady and we would love to go to our forever home together. He is a little bit shy, but in time he will be just fine. I was rescued with my best friend Coco from a parking lot last year after a car almost ran her over! Coco is deaf and she likes to sleep in the worst places, like under cars, so I have to watch out for her. Even in foster care, I act as her "eyes and ears" waking her up when the food is ready and making sure she stays safe!

But about me, my name is Emma! I'm part Tortoiseshell and I have the spunky attitude that goes along with it! I love cuddles and sleeping on foster mom's lap. My favorite toys are the tiny mice that I can chase up and down the hallway. Foster mom recently got us a new cat tree and I am IN LOVE with it! I like to nap in the hammock part - that's my favorite!

If you're interested in meeting us, please submit an application to our foster mom Kat or text her at 336-588-3188. I need to be adopted with Coco. Adoption fee will be $80 for the both of us!

I was rescued with my best friend Emma from a parking lot last year after a car almost ran over me! I'm deaf and I thought it would be a good idea to sleep in the shade. Unfortunately, the shady spot I chose was underneath a car! I don't remember much of what happened because I was trying to take a nap, but I think the car backed up and almost smooshed me! Luckily a nice lady saw the entire thing and scooped us up and brought us to our foster moms' house!

Since I'm deaf foster mom had to figure out how to communicate with me so she taught me sign language. So far I know the signs for "Come here" and "Stop, don't do that" - and I'm pretty good at "listening"! I'm really smart and I can learn more signs, too, if you're willing to teach me! I am fearless and sometimes I need my companion Emma to help guide me. She lets me know when mom comes in with the food and helps protect me from the other kitties who want to bully me.

If you're interested in meeting us, please submit an application to our foster mom Kat or text her at 336-588-3188. I was living with my siblings and feral mom outside behind a manufacturing facility when we were rescued. Mom was very, very sick but she would still go out every day and beg the workers for food. One of them called for help and a nice lady came and picked us up and took us to our foster moms house! Foster mom worked very hard on our real mom, Smokey, and after a couple of months she started to get healthy again just like us! Now we're all ready to be adopted and find our forever homes!

I'm Sable, and I'm the tiny, sleek, mini-panther of the group but unlike my sister Sadie, I have medium-length fur and little ear tips! I'm a total love bug and enjoy all kinds of pets from foster mom. I love playing with little mice toys and love anything with feathers on it! I have lots of energy and love interacting with my foster family. I'm good with other kitties, dogs, and kids (as long as they don't pull my tail!)

"Howdy! I'm pretending I'm a Western kitty because I've heard that's where the tree I'm named after grows. Actually, living in NC didn't prepare me for being a cowgirl kitty, so I've tried to pay special attention when my foster Dad watches TV. I've seen pictures of cows, mostly when they are mooing "Eat more Chickin" but that's about the extent of my studies. I will tackle just about anything that moves, so keep that in mind if you're still wearing flip flops and value your toes. I'm sure if you'd keep your socks on this winter, I'll probably be over it by the time Spring rolls around. Anyway, I really love watching squirrels and birds outside when I'm not busy playing or napping w/my littermates. I really like them a lot, so it'd be great if you can take two of us (it's only Cherry and me left). Or let my rescue person know who you might have at home that can keep me entertained."

"Meow there! Like most kittens, I have a story to meow. From my name, one might think I'm red (I'm not, I'm a very unusual mix colors, apricot, brown, beige, maybe some black here and there for punctuation) and have a hard spot in my center (my center is a very tender, sensitive place that will permit human touch if I'm half-asleep or you smell like my momma). I'm named after a TREE, for meowing out loud, because the woman that rescued us wanted tree NAMES for my sisters, brother and me. So here we are. I'm the most independent thinking and acting of the litter; not one to be wooed by sweet talk or fancy toys if I don't see the personal benefit. My momma was also very independent, and she taught me it's best to not let anyone see my soft-side too often. That meowed, I'm very beautiful and love-love to play. So, before I get too excited about the idea of going home with anyone, my agent needs to make sure there will be someone with whom to play, snuggle and bat around when the mood strikes me! If you appreciate cats for their independent nature, then you totally get what I'm meowing here."

Cherry is uniquely beautiful, exceptionally smart and playful and so ready for her own forever home. For the health and happiness of all the kittens, I strongly recommend you consider adopting either a littermate (Aspen) or other kitten close in age (with whom she has a comfortable relationship already in her foster home). Reduced adoption fee for more than one. This could be the fun family you've been looking for, call 919-935-3792 for more information.

"My brother, Rudy, said it all. Except I'm more beautiful than him. Because I'm female and he needs to be handsome. But we are a very pretty, adorable set. I'm very lady like and self-cleaning and love to cuddle. If I need to climb your chair or legs or whatever to get to your hands that want to caress and tickle me, no worries. My favorite place is on a lap or in a human's arms. If you're looking for a super-affectionate kitty-girl, that's me. Cooler is here, so why not get your lap warmers now and avoid the rush! Please call the number below and I'll be happy to arrange for an interview as soon as your application is approved!"

"I didn't know I was running for office, but I just learned I've been elected to be my foster's home advocate for black cats! Ya'll may know that black cats (and dogs, go figure) are often the last ones to find the loving, caring homes we so deserve. Let me begin by 'splaining away some of the "FAKE NEWS" about black cats: 1) Superstitions are just that. Like vampires and witchcraft. Maybe it's time to expand your horizons; the Celts and many Asian nations view black cats as a sign of good luck. 2) Majestic and elegant, with our bright, piercing eyes against silky black fur. What is not to love? 3) Black never goes out of fashion! And when you're wearing that little black dress, or T, or jeans, our fur won't show. 4) Black cats are THE most easy-going cats ever. We get along with other cats better than anyone. If you've ever tried to get a calico and a tortoiseshell to get along, you'll appreciate what I'm saying. That's all I have for now, on behalf of myself and black cats everywhere, I hope I'm off to a good start! Besides all of that, I'm just an energetic, playful, cuddle baby that will climb your jeans just to see if your legs have any feeling! Let your love affair with black cats begin with me. Thanks for your time!"

Rudy is very well-mannered and an entertaining delight to have around. He dependably uses a litter box and will play by himself if you're too busy. He has an equally beautiful sister, Rosie, that we'd love to see stay with him. Reduced adoption fee for both. Rudy's adoption fee is $100. Call 919-935-3792 for more information.

"Meowy! I'm a little bigger than the zillions of baby kittens everywhere, but let me 'splain to you why you should consider letting me become part of your family. I'm at an age you can see (for yourself) how cute my personality is. I'm not a run-around-like crazy cat, jumping, flying through mid-air at imaginary objects or climbing up your jeans. I'm a little more reserved and think things through before running around like crazy and making flying leaps at real objects that capture my curiosity! While I enjoy playing with younger kittens (if you happen to have any), I also appreciate older cats and find their maturity makes them better conversationalists. I can talk up a storm, but usually only if I've something I think needs to be said. Never mind it will take you a while to figure out what it is I'm meowing about. I'm quiet as long as everything is going my way! I hope you have other fur kids with whom I can cuddle for naps. You see, I'm a pretty well-rounded girl that offers lots of options. I also like laps, if you have someone that sits still long enough for me to catch a few Zs. Please call my people and see if we're a match!"

OK, I might be on the shyer side, but I am gentle and what you call 'low maintenance'. I LOVE food and you can probably win me over with a special treat, then you will have a true friend! I am independent, but do enjoy petting, and I used to sleep snuggled up with my 'Mom'. I have a very best friend, his name is George. I am told we are quite the duo. I think I might be braver if he came along with me. So really, we are a 2 for one special! I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, and FeLV/FIV negative, and so is George, the gray tabby.

"Meow! I mean "Hi!" I only speak when I have something to say, so be patient while I get my words together. I've figured out that when I want something (which isn't often, as I'm very laid back and generally don't need much) it doesn't hurt to ask. I've only been in foster homes for a few months now, but I've had some buddies go away in carriers to what's called a 'forever home.' From what I can tell, that seems to be the best thing for which an orphan like me can hope! I was someone's sweet, loving companion, a real lover boy, she called me. Then over time she became unable to take care of me so here I am. I would be happy in a family with kids, cats, or just me and you. I think I might be a lap cat, if that is something you'd like to explore! I don't have experience with dogs, but if they are well behaved and respectful, I'm willing to give them a shot (or a hiss and a scratch if they are rude and scare me!). My nap time is important, and I love soft cushions and warm blankets. Windows are good, too. Birds and squirrels are better than TV."

DaddyO is a low maintenance boy that is one of the most agreeable, easy to have around cats we've seen in a long time. He's got a classy aura around him and cares about his appearance, handsome as he is. He deserves to have a home of his own again and will adapt and blend in easily with his very own forever family. "A few years back my name was popular among human baby boys. I guess at the time my owner didn't know she was going to have her own baby boy one day, so she named me "Legion." It means "unusual or surprising!" I've no idea what that is about, as in my humble opinion, I'm just another (very handsome) guy. I'm like any other guy (cat or human) that enjoys watching TV (the more wildlife the better), eating and napping. But unlike human guys, I promise I won't break your heart! If you let me into your home, I'll be the best kitty ever. I won't leave without telling you where I'm going. Actually, I won't leave period because I don't know how to be an outside cat. I'm good at playing (fishing pole toys or laser dots are faves) and being easy going. Please give me a chance to show you what a good kitty I am."

"I'm a Torti. "Tortoiseshell" for those of you not familiar with cats wearing this beautiful coat. And if you're not familiar, you have a bit to learn about our personalities! If you ARE familiar with Tortishells, then you need read no further.

You'd never know it to look at me now; sleek, graceful, shiny fur, sparkle in my eyes and on the lookout for a lap on which to nap. But my life didn't start out so grand; it was a cold, freezing, raining night last winter when someone found me near an ATM machine in a small town in the middle of nowhere. I was very hungry and later discovered to have pneumonia and a broken rib. Thank the cat goddess for the kind soul that saw me cold, hungry and sick and saved my life. But! Those days are long gone and I am here to tell you I fully embrace the duties and responsibilities that come with being a Torti. I require my beauty sleep and otherwise will summon you when I'm in need of room service. You may request an appointment for the pleasure of my company and I'll see if I can work you into my demanding schedule (of napping, playing and watching out the windows)."

Carli doesn't intend to sound snobby, but she is, after all, a Torti. She's beautiful and sweet and is currently accepting applications for her full-time staff. "I've traveled a long road and was fortunate enough to be taken in when I was young to a loving foster home where I was allowed to be my scared-self, yet they fed me and made sure I was safe. I'm growing in confidence every day, but still have a ways to go. My sister, Patches, and I are a just alike, and she has been by my side the whole way, every day! I'm cautious about exploring new situations but I know I have the capacity to be a sweet and fun companion, and will return the love shown to me. Humans just need to give me a chance to continue to grow, become confident, and blossom into the purr-fect companion I want to become. And if you're the purr-fect human with a big heart and patience to let me and Patches stay together, we will make sure our adoption fee is reduced just for you!"

Bandit (and Patches too) will be most happy in a home with experienced cat owners. Patience is very important all around to help these little girls adjust to new surroundings and continue to grow their trust with humans. Hello! I am currently living at Cole Park Veterinary Hospital but would love to find a forever home! I was left on the front door step at Cole Park Veterinary Hospital in a carrier. I was not neutered, had numerous broken teeth, fleas, ear mites and wounds right above my ears from scratching so much. Now I am neutered and vaccinated and they removed my broken teeth! While under anesthesia for my dental they found that at some point my jaw had been broken along with one of my rear legs and one front leg. I am all healed now and feeling great!

This poor guy has had a tough short life. Mac and Cheeks seems very happy indoors and also uses his litter box well.
"Mac and Cheeks" is extremely affectionate towards people but is not a fan of dogs.

If anyone is interested in helping this sweetheart out please call Cole Park Veterinary Hospital at (919) 929-3352.

FIV cats can live normal lives and can live safely with other non-FIV cats if they do not fight with each other and are spayed/neutered. "You might say I was born under a wandering star. I've had the craving to be "Explorer Kitty" since I was big enough to walk. So far, that's turned out pretty well for me. My biggest adventure was stowing away inside a vehicle that went fast down the road without knowing I was hiding in the engine-part. I let them know I was ready to debark and some kind hearted human plucked me out and the rest is history. No more searching for food and a place to stay warm; soft beds and big dogs are much better than car engines. I'm very beautiful, in case you haven't noticed, and just as beautiful inside. I love watching TV or snoozing by the fireplace; whatever you like, I'll be there with you!"

Mabel is anxious to fit right into some lucky family! One or two other cats (max) would be good; she sometimes gets insecure and is happier not having too much competition for human attention/affection. She's good with medium to large dogs. Call 919.935.3792 for more information or to arrange to meet Mabel.

"What a winter it's been, or so I've heard. Thankfully, I'm living in a cozy house with other foster kitties. We have many warm places to sleep and good food. The only thing we could hope for is our very own, personal humans to give us more and more TLC! Our foster family is great, but they have too many kitty-kids. I'd like more lap time, more play time and someone with whom to share my life. If you're looking for a low-maintenance, easy-going companion, please arrange to meet me! I went to PetSmart a couple of times, but it was so scary there I wasn't myself. I hid in the litter box and no one could see me. I'm much more social in my familiar environment, please complete an application so you can meet me! Meow! (Thanks)"

Charlie is a real lover boy. He's low maintenance and a big personality, sure to be a great addition to some lucky family! Call 919-935-3792 to arrange to meet him in his foster home.

"We all know "Black is beautiful," but someone thought me special enough to accent my black coat with a spot of white! I'm still beautiful, inside and out. I've been in my wonderful foster home for a long time; something happened to me (I'm not telling) before I was rescued that caused a wall to form around my heart. I am very cautious and protective to help make sure I don't get hurt again. My foster mommy says it will take a very special, patient, loving human to give me the opportunity to be the loving companion I so want to be. If you are up for a challenge and know how special we shy babies can be, please arrange to meet me in my foster home."

Ava is sweet, but painfully shy. She would do best in a quiet home without a lot of activity/loud noises to cause her stress. Reduced adoption fee; call 919.935.3792 for more information or to meet Ava.
